That’s just one of the reasons I’ve always loved listening to podcasts. They’re a great way to learn whilst on the move and doing other things, especially in this fast paced world we live in right now.
Just recently I decided to have a search for some 3D printing related podcasts. I don’t know why I left it so long to be honest, but anyway without too much trouble I found two great podcasts: 3D Printing Today and 3D Printing Society.
They’re both quite new, having only 4 and 6 episodes respectively at the time of writing this, but I’ve listened to all but one episode from each (I’m saving one of each for my next trip to the gym) and I can safely say I’ve learned a lot from them.
Here’s a quick summary of each with some specific information about each:
3D Printing Today Podcast
In this podcast, Andy and Whitney discuss many aspects of 3D Printing, whether it be for hobbyists, professionals or on an industrial level.
Their main emphasis is on helping the beginner achieve the best from 3D printing and to help them make sense of the mass of confusing information which often confronts the beginner.
They are both very knowledgeable about 3D printing and have clearly been involved in it for a while.
Their podcast is both a joy to listen to and a great way to learn new tricks and tips and stay in touch with the latest industry developments.

3D Printing Society Podcast
In this podcast Mathilde interviews a different 3D printing professional, expert or hobbyist each week.
Interviewing people has always been a great model for podcasts, especially for solo presenters, so this podcast works really well.
Although this podcast is new, Mathilde has run a blog called Making Society for a few years now. She also used to work for the well known 3D printing company Sculpteo, so she knows a lot about this technology.
I find this podcast really interesting to listen to and Mathilde’s choice of interviewees has been excellent so far, with people ranging company SEOs to artists.

Both these podcasts are free and are great for utilising down time, like when you’re driving, walking or running, etc. Now you can learn more about 3D printing just about anywhere.
3D Printing Today is completely different from 3D Printing Society in it’s format and content. This makes the two podcasts quite complementary and I wouldn’t like to have to choose between the two.
That’s why I’ll continue to listen to both and I highly recommend you do too.
Thanks for reading and happy listening. Oh and please share this article if you found it useful.
